Gregory Ruhland Obituary

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30AM Wednesday, October 27, 2010 at Assumption Catholic Church in Eden Valley for Gregory G. Ruhland, 45 of Eden Valley who died Saturday at Hilltop Care Center in Watkins. The Rev. Virgil Braun will officiate and burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call from 4-9PM Tuesday and after 9AM Wednesday at Assumption Catholic Church in Eden Valley. Assumption parish prayers will be at 7PM Tuesday at the church in Eden Valley. Arrangements are being made by the Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home, Eden Valley.
Greg was born December 18, 1964 in St. Cloud to Ralph & Rose Mary (Nistler) Ruhland. He has lived his entire life in Eden Valley. Greg graduated from the College of St. Thomas in St. Paul in 1987. He worked as a accountant for the IRS and later as a page for Senator Steve Dill at the Capital in St. Paul. He is a member of Assumption Catholic Church in Eden Valley, the Eden Valley City Council and the Paynesville Area Hospital Board. He enjoyed the outdoors, traveling and camping, going to movies, reading, planting trees and all things in nature. He coached and mentored high school students in various sports activities for many years. He enjoyed volunteering and he especially enjoyed spending time with his family.
Survivors include his parents, Rose Mary & LuVern Becker of Eden Valley; siblings, Debbie (Joel) Rhein of Andover; Ronald (Ursala) Ruhland of Eden Valley; Tim (Tanya) Ruhland of Lakeville; Denise (Bill) Clemens of Northville, SD; LuVern (Cher) Becker of Eden Valley; Randy (Trina) Becker of Elk River; Darren Becker of Eden Valley; Donna (Matt Danigelis) Becker of Florence, OR; Steve Becker of Jordan, MT; 22 nieces and nephews and many relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph and grandparents.

I also graduated with Greg. I have missed and will continue to miss seeing and visiting with him at the EVW athletic events. I am very sad to hear of his passing. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

I remember him as Karl's sitter. He always liked him.
My first memory - the 1st Christmas I was up here. I had all of you for a dinner. The 5 Ruhland children were at the small table. I had a candle at their table that had the wax multi color. Kids loved it. Then someone learned if they rubbed feet on carpet they could zap others. FUN FUN! Greg was wild zapping others. God bless all. Jane
