I am deeply saddened by the passing of Uncle Jack, Not only was he my Uncle, he was my Godfather too. I will remember all the good times we had at Jacks house, and at Grandma house. Uncle Jack was a very kind and loving person with a great sense of humor, much like my dad Bud's sense of humor. I will miss you Uncle Jack and will think of you always, just like Bud.

We lived across the street from the Kalkmans and growing up in that neighborhood was the best time of my life. Like my dad, Jack was very proud of his kids and he was involved in all they did. We will miss him but he joins some great company in heaven.

Where do you start when talking about the incredible man, my Dad, Jack Kalkman.
I have a lot to be thankful for because of my Dad. The list is way too long, but I want to share few memories. For instance many of you may not know he was gymnast in high school. And because of his skills, he taught me and my brothers how to walk on our hands. Something I'm still prone to do once in a while, but what's important here, is every time I do, I think of Dad, and I thank him.
Dad also liked hunting, especial bird hunting. I guess that rubbed off on me too.
But more than any other hobby, Dad loved fishing. And I was his special fishing buddy. On Saturday mornings before the sun rose, he would yell upstairs, who's going fishing with me? I was always the first out of bed and down the stairs. I didn't want to miss out. There were quite a few times when it was just me and my Dad. And I loved it of course, I knew my odds for catching fish were better too.
Jack Kalkman seemed to know more people in St Cloud than anyone. I remember as a kid, I couldn't go anywhere with my Dad without us running into someone he knew. He had lots of friends not just because he worked at Franklin, but because people respected him. He treated people fairly, and he cared about them and their families. Of course, it didn't hurt that he was a pretty darn good talker. Dad could tell story like nobody else.
But most of all, Dad was a great husband and Father. He was the best Dad I could have ever hoped for.
Jack Kalkman was truly an amazing person, who lived a long, happy and fulfilling life.
Dad, I will miss you, and I look forward to meeting up with you again, in heaven, where I know you are right now. I love you, and may you rest in peace.
Peace and Love, Paul Kalkman
