Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. on Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at St. Peter's Catholic Church in St. Cloud for Robert G. Fruth, age 80, of St. Cloud who passed away December 4, 2014 at his home. Reverend Gregory Lieser will officiate. Entombment will take place in Assumption Cemetery Mausoleum in St. Cloud.
Relatives and friends may call from 4-8 p.m on Monday, December 8 at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud. Parish Prayers will be held at 6:30 p.m. Visitation will continue one hour prior to services at the church on Tuesday.
Robert was born March 30, 1934 in Richmond, MN to George and Wionne (Wasner) Fruth. He was employed by Frigidaire in St. Cloud for over 45 years, retiring 1997. He was later employed part-time by Crossroads Center as a custodian. He was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, St. Cloud Eagles Aerie 622 and Machinists Union Local 623.
Robert is survived by his children Ernie of St. Cloud, Donna (Tom) Sura of St. Cloud, Margaret Webster of Williston, ND, Joan (Matthew) McDonald of Minneapolis and Nancy (Dave) Derider of Bradenton, FL, 13 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, brothers Leonard (Susan) of Clearwater and Henry of St. Cloud and sister Dottie (Russ) Eldred of Annandale.
Preceding him in death were his parents, son Norbert (1989) and grandson Shane Hildahl (2011).
