Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Richmond, MN for Theresia Doubek, age 71, who died Friday after a short courageous battle with cancer surrounded by her family. Relatives and friends may call after 4:00 p.m. Monday at the Wenner Funeral Home in Richmond. Parish Prayers will be at 4:00 p.m. Rosary and Divine Mercy Chaplet will pray after 8:00 p.m. Visitation will continue from 8:30 - 9:30 a.m. Tuesday morning at the funeral home.
Theresia was born in Nandlstadt, Germany to Otto and Magdalena (Betz) Bliz. She married Ralph Doubek on June 4, 1958 in Peiting, Germany. Theresia and Ralph owned and operated Gold Meadows Hunting Preserve. She enjoyed dog training, dog grooming, flowers, knitting, embroidery, cooking, spending time with grandchildren and playing Farmville on Facebook. Theresia was a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Parish. Survivors include husband, Ralph; children, Michael (Melinda), Joe, Julie (Brian) Mills; 6 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and infant son David.
