Anthony Christopher Hamons

1988 - 2021

Anthony Christopher Hamons, age 32, of Willard, Ohio passed away Monday, July 26, 2021.  He was born September 5, 1988 in Bellevue, Ohio.  He graduated from Willard High School where he was proud of his wrestling career and even became a high school wrestling coach.  Anthony was a great husband and dad.  He was the coach for all of his son Noah's sports teams.  He was a superb cook, was a vegetarian and he loved animals, especially his favorite cat Simon and dog Phoebe.  In his spare time he loved going fishing and mushroom hunting, they found their first morels this season.  He also enjoyed wood working.  He loved making special surprises for his wife from wood and epoxy from which he made beautiful bowls. He was a hard worker that provided for his family.  He was so proud of his recent promotion as Lieutenant at Mansfield Correctional Institute.
e is survived by his wife, Tina (Burchfield) Hamons, whom he married August 28, 2013 and his 4 children, Heavenly Barteck of Tulsa, OK, Kyrie McDevitt (Branden Carlson) of Columbus, Gracie Harper of Willard and Noah Hamons of Willard; brother Andrew (Nikki) Hamons of Maumee, OH and sister Jody (Eddie) Tackett of Willard; mother Judy Younger of Willard and grandmother Nancy Daniel of Willard; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.  Anthony  loved his nephew Cameron (who he nicknamed "Phil"), and he was excited to be an uncle to his brother's first child.
He is preceded in death by his father Doyle Hamons and brother Nicholas Hamons; grandparents Melvin & Ella Hamons, Myrtle Barnett and Virgil Daniel and his uncles.
Calling hours will be Monday, August 2, 2021 from 10:00 AM till the time of the memorial service at 12:00 PM. at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard, Ohio.  Memorial contributions may be made to his son, Noah's college fund and left at the Secor Funeral Home.
