Denise Ritz

1963 - 2022

Denise Ritz, age 58, of Attica, Ohio passed away peacefully Friday, January 7, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born June 12, 1963 in Frankfurt, Germany to David and Heidi ( Schubert) Hawblitz. She graduated from Willard High School in 1981 and Pioneer Career & Technology Center, with her cosmetologist degree. Denise was the owner and operator of Envy U... Salon & Tanning and Sew Impressed. She was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Attica and the Willard Moose Lodge 2153. She enjoyed snowmobiling, golfing, CAMPING, playing games, music, dancing and most of all, spending time with her family, grandkids and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Benny Ritz whom she married June 30, 1984, 3 children, Renae (Drew) Karcher of Willard, Hilary (Andy) Biddle of Nevada and Matt (Caroline) Ritz of Willard and 5 grandchildren, Kendyn Karcher, Grady & Graelynn Biddle and Grafton & Rylie Ritz; parents, Dave & Heidi Hawblitz and brother Robert "Bob" (Janet) Hawblitz of Willard; father & mother-in-law, Eldon & Marjorie Ritz of Willard and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by grandparents, Karl & Irmgard Schubert and Harry & Elizabeth "Betty" Hawblitz and 5 uncles.
Visitation will be Monday, January 10, 2022 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard, Ohio. The funeral service will be Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at 11:00 AM at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Attica, Ohio, with Pastor Edward Hunker officiating.
