Frank Curtis Obituary

HAMPTON FALLS — Frank L. Curtis, 66, of Crank Road, died Wednesday, May 28, 2008, at his home after many years of failing health.

He was born Oct. 25, 1941, in Portsmouth, the son of the late Byron L. and Mildred L. (Malloch) Curtis.

Survivors include his children, Nonna Morrissette of Northwood, Tori Glidden and her husband Gary of Rye, and Kyle Curtis of Hampton Falls; one sister, Kala L. Heron of Portsmouth; his twin brother, Fred L. Curtis and his wife Judy of Exeter; one younger brother, Kohlin "Pete" Curtis and his wife Sharen of Mims, Fla.

He was "Bumpa" to grandchildren Matthew and Taylor Morrissette of Northwood, Brandy Swain of Hampton, Mackenzie Glidden of Rye, and two great-grandchildren, Benjamin and Charley of Hampton; as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by two brothers, Byron L. Curtis and Melvin L. Curtis of Cocoa Beach Florida.

WE REMEMBER: He was raised in Rye where he attended local schools as well as Hampton Academy. He later moved to Hampton Falls where he raised his family and lived for over 40 years.

Mr. Curtis was an accomplished auto mechanic and "Jack of all trades." His greatest pleasure came from the many years he spent as a lobsterman until his health forced him ashore.

He loved his family, his cats, and playing the New Hampshire Lottery. He will be greatly missed by his many friends and family.

SERVICES: Visiting hours will be held Monday, June 2, from 5 to 7 p.m., in the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home-Crematory, 811 Lafayette Road, Hampton. Services will follow at 7 p.m. in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers it is requested that you buy yourself a lottery ticket in Frank's memory. Good Luck.

I started school with Frank & Fred. I remember the first day of first grade..they looked around the room...took each other's hands and ran out the door and down the road. The principal went to get their older sister. Years later, when I transferred to Winnacunnet I rode to school every day in that old four door Plymouth. Us kids from Rye. Dick says Frank was responsible for "fixing us up" 49 years ago. We'll have good memories but know how much you'll miss him. Judy Harriman Batchelder (and Dick)

Torry and Family,
I am saddened to hear of your loss. Your Dad was a great man. He spent MANY hours telling stories and jokes while drinking coffee at the Famous Handy Dan's!!
He will be greatly missed.
