Helen Pierce Obituary
Helen was a lifetime member of the Emerson Hovey Post 168, VFW Ladies Auxiliary in Portsmouth, a member of Frank E. Booma Unit 6, American Legion Women's Auxiliary in Portsmouth, Past President of M.O.C.A. Pup Tent 2, and the Red Hat Society, Portsmouth Chapter.
Survivors include her children, Jackie Freeman, Everett Hatch, Jr., Edward Hatch, Wayne Hatch, Diane Beatham, Brian Hatch, Edgar Hatch, and Charline Sterry; 28 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; sister Maxine Bearstow; brother Cedric Booker; sister-in-law Jean Booker; numerous nieces and nephews.
Helen was predeceased by her husband Raymond O. Pierce, Sr. and her son Patrick Hatch.
SERVICES: Memorial visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m., on Tuesday, April 26, 2016, at the J. Verne Wood Funeral Home-Buckminster Chapel, 84 Broad Street, Portsmouth followed by a memorial service at the funeral home at 11 a.m. A reception will be held at The Asia Restaurant, 3rd Street, Dover, N.H., following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Richie McFarland Children´s Center, 11 Sandy Point Rd. Stratham, N.H., 03885. Visit: www.jvwoodfuneralhome.com to sign the online guest book.
