Jeffrey W. Lee

CONCORD - Jeffrey W. Lee, 60, died on Saturday, January 28, 2017, at the Concord Hospital after a short illness. He was born in Portsmouth, N.H., on June 17, 1956, son of Dorothy and Shee Y. Lee. He was predeceased by his father in 1995.

He is survived by his sisters -Janice Lee Swain and husband Jay, Judith Lee Layton and husband Andy, a niece Cynthia Swain and two nephews, Joseph Swain and Gregory Swain and wife Kayleigh and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He attended Great Bay School and Training Center in Newington and worked in their sheltered workshop. He was also employed at Alltex in Portsmouth in the late 90's. He enjoyed helping at the Great Bay Bingo fundraising nights.

He won many medals for field and track events in the NH Special Olympics competitions in Durham. He loved shooting baskets, bowling, swimming, and taking walks and going to the movies. He attended Church services at the North Church of Portsmouth. Jeffrey was very creative and painted watercolors and drew pictures of people and places that he knew.

He always enjoyed the company of others and had a great sense of humor. Many have said Jeffrey had such a gentle, kind soul.

SERVICES: A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 4, at 1 p.m., at the North Church Chapel, 355 Spinney Rd., Portsmouth. There will not be any calling hours.
