Robert Story Obituary
He grew up in Exeter, N.H., and graduated from Exeter High School. After graduation, he attended the University of New Hampshire where he obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree before attending and graduating from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy. Mr. Story worked as a Pharmacist for 25 years in the Palm Beach County area. He worked for a short time at several private pharmacies before joining Walgreens where he worked for many years. After retiring he worked as Chief Financial Officer for Coast to Coast Title Company in West Palm Beach.
The Story's had visited and vacationed on Amelia Island for over 30 years before making the shores of Fernandina Beach their home in November of 2016.
He was a voracious reader, an avid golfer and enjoyed gardening.
Mr. Story leaves behind his wife of 31 years, Mary Elizabeth Story, their daughter, Ashton Leigh Story, Gainesville, Fla., their son, Brett Donald Story, Auburn, Ala., a sister, Judith Story, nephews, Nick and Keith Story, niece, Alexis Hatch, brother-in-laws, Hank and John Hammer, sister-in-law, Laurie Hammer, a nephew, Chris Zydel.
SERVICES: Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., on Saturday, March 25, 2017, in the Burgess Chapel at Oxley Heard with his brother-in law, Hank Hammer officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday, at the funeral home, from 10 a.m., until the hour of service.

Great memories of this sweet and loving man. He was a great friend and co-worker. We worked together at Shopper's Drug Mart in Boca Raton for a few years. He always spoke so lovingly of his parents. We lost track after life moved on. I express my deepest condolences and prayers for his family.

Over a year late, but just heard about Bob's passing. We had many a great times at MCP in the 70's . Someone looked up to for his insights into life.

A loving son to his parents -always there for them though he lived in Fl and they in NH. Fond memories of ski/dental trips with our families when the children were young. He was always a good athlete and made his parents proud. Sympathy to Mary,Ashton,Brett,Alexis,Judith,Keith, and Nick.

I had a lot of fun with Bob as a child and into our college years. Swimming at his pool, trying to learn to golf from him and hanging out when we were both at UNH. Always fun to see and talk to as adults. He is missed.

I'm saddened and sorry that cousin Bob has passed. He was always such a friendly and fun person to talk with when we were growing up in Dover, NH. Us younger cousins always looked up to our cool older cousins like Bob. I'm praying for his peace and comfort with our Lord Jesus Christ, as well as for Mary and the rest of the family.
