Albert Pfeffer Obituary

Albert Ernst "Bert" "Poppi" PFEFFER 71, passed away July 23, 2002. Bert was born in South Hampton, England and raised in Pfaffikon, Zurich, Switzerland. Bert moved to this country in 1954, served in the U.S. Marines for two years and settled in Seattle in 1958. He was a graduate from the U.W. and was anchored in the fishing and seafood industry. Bert coached the Seattle Pacific College Soccer team at its inception, and was the founder of the Magnolia Youth Association. He is survived by his wife, Gretchen Evita Pfeffer; two daughters, Michele (David Wright) Pfeffer, Renee (Tom) McDonald; son, Karl Albert Ernst Pfeffer; six grandchildren, Tommy, Frances, Alice, Sarah, Baker, Martine; sister, Betty (Tom) Burns of Tuscan, AZ.; brother, Serge Fragniere of Perth, Australia; other family members, Jan, Erik, Debbie, Kermit, and Brenda Jorgensen. A Rosary Service will be held at 7:30 p.m., Friday, July 26th at Evergreen-Washelli Funeral Chapel. Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, at St. Margaret's Catholic Church, 1408 W. Dravus, Seattle. Burial in Mt. View Cemetery, Leavenworth, WA. on Monday, July 29, 2002 at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to American Diabetes Association or Seattle Pacific University Men's Soccer Team. Arrangements by Evergreen-Washelli Funeral Home, Seattle.
