Barbara Rizzuto Obituary

Barbara Ann Rizzuto

After a long and hard fought battle with two types of cancer, Barbara Ann Rizzuto left this world on December 23, 2017 to join her husband Tom. Barb was born in Spokane, WA September 23, 1940, to Norman and Alice Oiland, and leaves behind her siblings Marie Gronnebek (John Dial), Mike Oiland (Carly), Kathy Schultz (Shelly), and (deceased) David Oiland (Donna), along with numerous nieces and nephews. In addition, she leaves behind her children and grandchildren, Jeffrey Rizzuto (Chris, Tyler, and Nicole), Jena Rizzuto, Jerry Rizzuto (Donelle, Madeline), Joe Rizzuto (Kelli, Nathan, Jordyn, and Jessie).

Barb loved to go on cruises, bowling, volunteering with Sonshine Ministries, and spent most her life supporting Dad and the kids with all of their sports. As "Ripper" Rizzuto, she also participated in the Moms' Football League with Shoreline Univac Youth Football. She worked for several years at Arts Food Center on Holman Road sorting and displaying American Greetings cards. She also sold Jafra products, and volunteered for the Shoreline juvenile court system. Summer memories of Lake Cavanaugh are special, and her homes were always spotless. She was the best cook ever, and loved to combine cooking with her cocktail hour.

She always was the life of the party everywhere she went. She was very proud of all her children and grandchildren and always made sure to let each and every one of us know. She missed Dad so much and especially missed her beloved dog Lacey, a chipper little Westie who got her through the tough times after Dad died.

Who could forget Barbara! I only new her briefly through Tom, Jerry & email. What a beautiful soul. "Rest in peace"
Just thinking about Barbara brings a smile to my face.
I can only imagine her with our LORD.

What an "Angel". I miss her wonderful email messages the most. Always the best. What a compliment She was to Tom, and He to Her.
May God Rest Their Souls!

Oh Barbara,
I only met You one time, but through Tom and all of Your e mail I know that You were the real deal. Tom always spoke of You often and always very favorably. I met you at Tom's funeral. May The Lord take you in his Arms and carry You to the One You love.
