Bruce Broadus Obituary

Bruce Darwin Broadus

Bruce peacefully passed away at his home on Monday evening, September 21, 2015 surrounded by his loved ones. He is survived by his beloved wife Debora of 58 years and his children Kelly Brower and David Broadus. His youngest son Matthew preceded him in 2003.

Bruce was born in Miles City, Montana in 1933 on Christmas day. He grew up in Havre, Montana. Upon graduating from High School, Bruce joined the navy and was stationed on the USS Missouri. He explained that the ship was about as big as his whole town of Havre and he got lost on it many times. Upon his return from the navy, he met our mother Debbie and they married and moved to Denver, Colorado where he obtained a Business Degree from Denver University upon his graduation, Bruce joined General Motors Acceptance Corporation. He was the Finance Manager. In 1973, Bruce and two partners opened Michael's Toyota in Bellevue. After many years, he bought out his partners and with the help of his son, David and Business partner, Erik Paulsen they relocated and opened the doors to Toyota of Bellevue at its current location. He said it was one of the happiest days of his life.

Bruce's passion was sports. Especially GOLF! You could find him every weekend at Glendale Country Club hitting the greens. He shot two hole-in-ones. After a while, he got tired not playing all year and obtained another dream, he bought a home in Rancho Mirage, California. He was a member of Mission Hills Country Club. He loved the weather so much, he started staying six months out of the year in California. He met many great friends and had some very happy times.

He was also a family man. Nothing made him happier than to be surrounded by his children and grandchildren. Skylar Broadus (16) and Boden and Ryder Broadus (10) they were the apple of his eye and could do no wrong. He also considered his auto family his own as well. He was always doing kind gestures for his employees. He was genuinely interested in their lives.

We will miss our husband, father, grandpa and fearless leader.

We know he will remain in

our hearts and souls forever!
