Carsten Strandoo Obituary

Carsten "Budd" STRANDOO Passed away December 21, 2007 at the age of 72 in Edmonds, WA after a well-fought battle with prostate cancer. Budd was born in Ballard to Thora and Carsten Strandoo, May 22, 1935. He graduated from Ballard High School in 1953 and married the love of his life, Margie Svege, in 1956. After three children the family relo cated to California in 1965 and Budd and Margie returned to Seattle in 1996. Budd started his career at Fentron Industries as an estimator in the commercial window business. In 1969 he started his own business, Alumi num West, which he continued to run until his retirement in 2001. Budd was a big man with an even bigger heart who loved his family, his friends and a good joke. He was proud of his Norwegian heritage and belonged to Sons of Norway. He is survived by his wife, Margie, daughters, Lynn Moore (Ben), Chris tine Araujo (Ed), son, Paul (Karen) and 5 adoring grandchildren, Jacob Moore, Amalie and Allison Araujo, Sarah and Christian Strandoo. He also leaves a brother, Orv Strandoo (MaryLou) and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins in Seattle and Norway. Memorial Service to be held Satur day, December 29 at 2:00 p.m. at First Lutheran Church of Richmond Beach in Shoreline, Washington. Memorials may be sent to First Lutheran Church of Richmond Beach, Ballard First Lutheran Church or charity of your choice.

Thank you for your wonderful sentiments. Yes, Budd was a warm and wonderful man. My wife, my daughters and I shared so many great moments with Budd, Marge and our families at "Club Bud" in San Mateo. He is, and will always be missed.
