Cheryl was gentle soul. She loved her family deeply. She was the middle child and a peace keeper. She had a brilliant mind just like her brother Carl. She made each person she knew feel genuinely cared for. She took an interest in knowing each of her nephews and nieces on a personal level. She was very much looking forward to retirement and someday being a grandmother. They had plans to possibly move to Montana or Spokane in retirement. Cheryl was the best sister I could have asked for. When we got together, we could laugh and laugh. She will be so deeply missed. I was so touched by the out pouring of support we have received as a family from the community. This is not just a loss to our family but a huge loss to the research that she was doing and to all who knew her.

I could never forget that kind smile. I knew Cheryl for a very short time many years ago, my first year in cross country and track at Everett Community College, as well as competing against her in highschool. She was a great runner! She may have even been in confirmation class with me at Gloria Dei. I remember Cheryl as a truly good, sweet, soft spoken, mature young woman. She was always so kind, I recall. My heart has been aching for you, her family. I know she is in the arms of Jesus. But I pray, and have been praying, that you all will feel that He is carrying you also. He will work all things for good. I will keep you in my prayers.

My condolences and apologies for not being able to attend the memorial. I pulled out my yearbook and read her comments and looked at her accomplishments on the track team. She was an amazing person. Praying for answers, although it does not take from the hurt it will be some closure into this horrific event.

Peacefull
