Corinne P. NELSON March 12 1985 ~ September 3, 2011 Cory was born & raised in Seattle and graduated from Shorewood High. She died of natural causes in her home. Cory was larger than life and approached each day with gusto. In 2004 she got her own apartment in Shoreline with supported living services from Banchero Friends Services. Cory loved drama and played the snake in a production of 'The Little Prince' performed at the Jewel Box Theatre. She volunteered as assistant counselor at Camp Long for campers with developmental disabilities. Cory was a legendary gift giver and never missed an occasion to give thanks. She was a force to be reckoned with and will be greatly missed. Cory, you will be missed at Advocacy Days in Olympia. It just won't be the same without your hug, your jokes, and your smile. Thank you for being you. You are missed already.

Cory was an awesome self advocate! She was full of passion and vocal whenever she felt something needed to be said. I loved having her at Advocacy Day, never a meeting went by that she didn't ask questions, offer her perspective and ensure that her voice was heard by legislators in our state. I will miss you Cory!
