I just received word today of Mr.Emerson's passing. I am so saddened by the news. He was so much a part of my life thru my 22 years at Emerson GM Diesel and John Deere. I have been very successful in my business life and owe my accomplishments to him. He was an excellent boss, teacher and friend.
He also taught me to be humble. One time during the World Series many years ago when I had just been made a manager Mr. Emerson invited several of his managers to a boating. I was the first one to arrive at the boat, and after some idle conversation I mentioned I had a portable black and white TV in my car maybe we could watch some of the world series while we waited for the others. He popped up and said "Why Jo do you want to watch the game I have a TV" and we walked into a beautiful room on the boat with a large colored TV. I was just a little bit embarrassed but he made me laugh.
I truly am saddened by the loss of such a wonderful man.
My warmest thoughts and prayers go to Pat his lovely wife and to all his Children that I watched grow up. May God bless this family and time soften their loss.

I am greatly saddened to hear of Del's Death! I had the privilege of working for Del who launched my career retiring in 2008 as Fleet Manager for the Port of Seattle. Fond memories included opening the Kenai shop for him and helping his son with rebuilding a Engine for his first car.
My sincere condolences! Buzz Stambaugh

Dear Pat and family,
Del was a very special person who will be greatly missed. Our son Nick always enjoyed his "chats" with
Del and I especially enjoyed the advice he gave me
before he left the beloved Tudor! I will always treasure
that conversation.
Our sympathies as you pass through this difficult transition.

Del was a truly compassionate man and a bright spirit who will be missed dearly. My deepest sympathy to his family and friends. His love will live on in those whom he shared his life with, and all the people he cared for, and his memory will always bring a smile to my heart.
