Diana Marie ANDERSON Age 84 ~ surrounded in song by her loving family (a reflection of the love she showed them) ~ passed away at home in Eglon, February 1, 2010. Born Diana Chase in Massena, New York on December 20, 1925, she worked as a registered nurse, traveled the world (6 continents), loved reading, puzzling and playing bridge. Preferring the Pacific Northwest, she called Shoreline, Port Ludlow's Inner Harbor and most recently the views from the bluffs of Eglon home. Upon discovering that her second battle with cancer was unwinnable, she bravely set about fulfilling her "bucket list". The first stop was a trek through Yosemite followed by time with family in Kona, Hawaii. She is survived by her six children Diana (Fred) Allen of Eglon, WA; Deb (David) Cosby of Bellevue, WA; Denise (Kenneth) Foreman of Kailua-Kona, HI; Douglas (Shawna) Anderson of Bellevue, WA; David (Heidi) Anderson of Ellensburg, WA and Dan (Julie) Anderson of Marysville, WA. She is survived by 17 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Services will be held this Saturday February 6th in Port Gamble at the historic St. Paul's Church at 1:00 p.m.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.

I have so many fond memories of the Anderson family - from way back to when my Dad (Victor Hagstrom) met Andy and they became fast buddies! So many years of them joking around, having coffee, and so on! Our two families became very close - we played together and had such a good time -even going on vacation together up to Lake Louise and Banff in Canada! Then we all grew up and life went on. I know my Mom (Jeanette Hagstrom) kept in touch with Di and talked to her fairly regularly after your Dad passed away. She was fun to be around, and I'm sorry that I lost touch with her. But now she is at peace, no more cancer and the pain and difficulties that come with it. My Dad (Vic) passed away on Nov 13, 2008 and I know the pain of losing a parent all too well...Mom and I will be at the service tomorrow and look forward to seeing old childhood friends. I wish all six of you, and your families, peace and good memories of your mom, and of your dad, too,who passed away several years ago! Bless you....Bev Hagstrom

You were the quintessential mom in every way and will be missed every day of my life.
