Dio was a terrific person. He was a dynamic and interesting companion to my mother, Phyllis Koskinen. Being a twin, he was always interested in my children, twin boys, William and Canton; what they were doing, reading, learning, and general boy adventures. Dio shared lots of great stories, interesting business experiences, and his love of old Seattle lore.
We will miss him dearly.

Dio was a dear friend of my mother's, Phyllis Koskinen, and by extension all of our family. We had many fun meals with Dio. He was always smiling and interested in our activities. He was a very welcome addition to the family events. Dwight and I and our children, Chris & Eliza, Claire and Alex will miss his company.

Dio was my landlord for 12 years. He was very fair, and his commitment to keeping the rent at an affordable rate allowed me to remain in business much longer than I would have been able to do, otherwise. I recall that he appeared in an episode of THE LOVE BOAT on TV, playing a naval man.

I knew DP for 15+ years. He was a kind & honest man. His words & a handshake were his bond. I will miss him.

I knew Dio briefly during the final weeks of his life. His delightful smile remains with me as my fondest memory of him. My sympathies flow out to Darcie, Ernie, Ed, Solaha and all the rest of the family for the loss you have suffered. I am thankful he passed peacefully.
