Earl Egerdahl Obituary

Earl Eugene EGERDAHL Artist and blues musician, born in Duluth, Minnesota, June 21, 1949, died unexpectedly August 4 at his home. Earl, a graduate of Ballard High, and then joined the Naval Air Reserve. Earl, the epitome of the Renaissance man, had several careers and many interests. He worked in the construction industry, followed by his work as a residential energy auditor. He used his entrepreneurial spirit in his 15 years in real estate. Besides playing blues guitar at local "open mike" nights, an important aspect of Earl's life was his devotion to his Christian beliefs. He spent time in Pakistan as a missionary, as well as at local penal institutions, using his music and Christianity to minister to inmates. Earl was an exceptionally devoted husband and father, survived by his beloved and devoted wife, Marilyn, loving and much loved son, Nathan, and his brother, Ralph. Earl has a wide circle of friends who will sorely miss him. He constantly regaled us with his storytelling and will be remembered for his unceasing curiosity and tinkering to see how things worked. We loved Earl's vagabond ways and willingness to take off on the spur of the moment for a road trip. Services will be held Saturday, August 9, at 1:00 p.m. in Marysville at St. Philip's Episcopal Church, 4312 84th Street N.E./Robinson Road. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Earl Egerdahl Memorial Fund established at U.S. Bank, Account # 153554211398.

Oh, Marilyn, how precious was your marriage. How I love you. I am so grateful we saw you and Earl together, having fun at Lois and Mark's home in March.

May the Lord bring you comfort and wisdom in every decision.
