Edith Dichter Obituary

Edith Russak Dichter

Edith was born in 1936 to Louis & Diana Russak and grew up in the old Jewish neighborhood near Cherry St. and later Madison Park. Edith attended Garfield High School & the UW. She then worked for her Uncle at Acme Poultry and at Fredrick & Nelson, and was also very proud to have been a model in the 50's. In 1955 she met the love of her life, an NYC native, Aaron Dichter, at Rosh Hashanah services while he was stationed at Ft. Lewis. Edith was known for her unique style. She loved fine dining, traveling to Hawaii & Palm Springs, dancing, shopping, and spoiling her kids and grandkids. For many years you would find Aaron and Edith dancing away at the Olympic hotel every Saturday night. Edith also enjoyed many years of boating with Aaron. Spending weeks cruising and traveling through the San Juan islands & Canada every summer as a member of the Meydenbauer Yacht Club, they only stayed overnight if there was great dining and shopping where Edith could buy her grandkids outfits! Edith became an amazing fundraiser for The LAM Foundation and KAPS.

She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Aaron Dichter, and sister Rosalie Kosher, children Robin Zambrowsky, and Steve & Gina Dichter, grandchildren Max & Denielle Zambrowsky, Lauren Dichter, Marisa & Koltin Stratiner, and one great grandchild, Ethan Stratiner.

Goodnight gorgeous, we love you!

Services will be held on Friday 3/2 at 1:00 PM at Hills of Eternity Cemetery at 520 W. Raye St., Seattle WA 98119
