Frances Myers Obituary

Frances Pearl (Davis) MYERS Born 1916 in Pomeroy, Washington, passed away on July 30, 2002 in Bellingham. She grew up in the University District; Phi Betta Kappa UW (1940); MAT Harvard (1943). She taught at Roosevelt HS until 1953, and at Nathan Hale High School from 1966 until 1982. Married Olin E. Myers in 1951. With Olin and sons Roy (of Newport Beach, CA), and Gene (of Bellingham, WA) she explored the wilds of the northwest. She loved nature, the Suburban and trailer, literature, Olin's photographs, and piano playing. She gave tremendously and celebrated the accomplishments of others. Her strength, care, grace, and joy will be dearly remembered. She was preceded in death by her husband, and is survived by sisters Patricia Sweazey and Dorothy Bjarnason of Seattle, her two sons, and two granddaughters. Please make remembrances to the Alzheimer Society of Wash. Contact son in Bellingham regarding memorial.
