For Lotti and all George's family. Our hearts, love and prayers go out to you during these trying times. He was such a good friend and we will miss all the good times together. (Now who am I going to ballgames with - D-Backs, spring training and fall league? And who's going to handle all my bad throws to 1st base) May his memory forever be blessed. George we miss you. And as he would say "Go Mariners and Seahawks. Love, Jerry & Barb

It was a pleasure playing with George 77-80. Will always remember teams putting on the shift and daring George to pull the ball. He would usually come thru with a hit to 5-6 hole. But my fondest memory is of George sharing one of his many softball stories over a post game beer!
My deepest sympathy to Lotti and Nokes family.

My prayers go out to the entire Nokes Family.
I worked with George for a number of years, and he truly was "one of the good guys". After his first retirement, he came to work for us selling radiator service work to commercial accounts, and although the sales call would start off about radiators, somehow he always steered it towards baseball! His competitiveness carried over from the ball field to the sales field. He liked to win!
I can truthfully say that I am am a better person for knowing George Nokes.

George and my ex-husband, Rudy Toth, played fast pitch softball together. George was a talented and dedicated first baseman. He made countless amazing plays and he added a level of excellence to the game that will never be forgotten. May he rest in peace and his family be comforted by the thoughts and prayers of all those he touched.

Sorry to hear about George, it sure was fun playing fastpitch in the 70's and 80's and 90's, I often wondered if John Nokes Jr. kept playing since the last time I saw him he was really starting to catch on to fastpitch under Joey's watchful eye as the teams coach. I miss talking sports with Jerry and Jim at Washington Iron Works.
Take care, warm regards, Steve McClintock

Sorry to see the passing of George. I really only knew him through men's fastpitch. He was a truly good guy, great sense of humor.
He was one of the best hitters during his era, was a huge part of Pay n Pak and Peterbilt teams. The Nokes family was a very prominent part of mens fastpitch in t Seattle and the northwest region in the 1970's and 80s.
I do offer deepest sympathy to his wife, Lotti and two sons, all the Nokes brothers and their families

I'm very sorry for the loss of your loved one, George. May you find comfort in prayer, in family and friends (Romans 12:12 and 15).
