Howard Steele Obituary
Howard Claire Steele was born in Marshalltown Iowa in April 1936. In 1957, Howard married Ardis Posekany of Belle Plaine, Iowa. That same year they moved to Seattle, where they were devoted and playful parents to their 3 children. Howard died peacefully on July 22, 2013. Howard will be missed greatly for his unique laugh, sense of mischief, humor, and love of the great outdoors. Howard was an avid sportsman and a great gardener, his prize crop being award worthy dahlias.
His beloved wife, Ardis, and his oldest daughter, Lea Ann, preceded Howard in death. He missed them tremendously. Howard is survived by his loving daughter Norene McPherson (Scott), son Jay Steele (Deborah), and two grand- children: Catherine and Jeremy.
A memorial service for Howard will be held on Saturday, 08/10/13, at 4:00 at Shoreline United Methodist Church, 14511 25th Ave, Shoreline, WA 98155. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the North Helpline Emergency Services and Food Bank, 12707 30th Avenue NE Seattle, WA, 98125 (where Lea Ann and Ardis were long standing volunteers and supporters).
