Ian HOLDING Obituary
On May 31, 2012, we lost a great man and baseball coach. During a 15U youth baseball game, Coach Holding, just 34 years young, suffered a massive heart attack and passed way. Coach Ian was an amazing son, husband, dad and good friend to many. He had a burning passion for kids and will be missed dearly by all. Ian was born on June 11, 1977 in Bridgeton, New Jersey. He is survived by wife Lindsay, sons Jacob and Chance, father Bob Holding and Leslie, mother Kim Glaspey Holding, sisters Tiffany and Tara and brothers Theo and Jeremy, grandmothers, Doris Glaspey and Marion Holding, uncle Jimmy and wife Suzanne, cousins Derek and Shanna. He was preceded in death by grandfather Jim Glaspey. He had many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews who loved him very much. He will be laid to rest on Wednesday, June 6 at Washington Memorial Park in Seattle Washington. There will be a Celebration of Ian's Life on Wednesday, June 6 at 5:00 PM at the Normandy Park Community Center. Additional information can be obtained by visiting www.bonneywatson.com. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Ian Holding Memorial Fund at any Key Bank.

My thoughts and prayers are with the entire family. Ian was one of a kind, he always knew how to make me smile no matter how bad my day was. Saying goodbye to him the day he left for vegas was so hard, i cried for days but atleast we were able to goodbye. I havent seen him a few years but I never quit thinking of him or all of our memories. I loved him like a brother!!! RIP I'll forever cherish all of our great times in high school.

To the Holding family, I was in shock when I heard the news, the summer of 92 Ian practically lived at my house, he was good friends with my daughters Brandi and Barbi, and they would hang out at my house with Keith Harkcom, Aaron Lang and Pete Lewis. I loved having him around me, he was like a son. When I ran into his friends I would always ask ahout Ian. Its ironic that two nights prior to his death, my wife asked me who the funniest person i had ever been around, and without hesitation I said "Ian, he should have been a stand up comic". It really saddens me to hear this.My thoughts are with you.

Ian was a good friend of mine growing up. Always had a blast with him playing baseball n hanging out in greenwich. He was the best catcher I ever played with. Sorry for your loss Kim n his wife n kids n family. All of us in jersey will miss him very much.
