Jayne Marie Vorhies Grubb
Jayne Marie Vorhies GRUBB   Jayne was born February 12th 1930 in College View, Nebraska to Ira and Marie Petric Vorhies.  She moved to Seattle, with her dear friend Birdine, where she met and married Edwin Grubb. She lived and raised her family in Ballard.   She filled her life with family and friends until she passed away, peacefully, at her home of 50 years, on Nov 14th. Jayne involved herself in her children's PTA and briefly worked for the Aetna Wine Company. Some of her pastimes included card playing, listening to her police scanner and watching her favorite hydroplane, Slo Mo compete in the Gold Cup races on Lake Washington along with enjoying the Blue Angels perform.   Jayne's friendly nature and comfortable presence will be greatly missed. She is preceeded in death by her beloved brothers, James E. and Ira L. Vorhies, Jr. She leaves behind her loving ex- husband, two daughters, Susan Grubb and Linda Grubb Wallace and grandchildren, Jasmine and Jacob Wallace. Jayne's extended family include the Combs and Vorhies, who loved her humor and companionship.   At Jayne's request, there will be no services. However, friends and family will gather at her Ballard home, on Sunday, November 26th, at 1 p.m. to share memories.
