Jean Astel Obituary
Feb. 9, 1927 ~ Dec. 17, 2016
Born in Lind, WA Jean graduated from Davis H.S. in Yakima and went on to the U.W. where she met and married the absolute love of her life, Bill Astel. Jean worked for the phone company, was a homemaker while she raised us kids and later was a bookkeeper, most notably with Elliott Bay Veterinary Clinic.
She volunteered her time and efforts for a number of causes over many years. A boating enthusiast, Mom loved to travel, garden, cook, play bridge & more.
Jean is survived by her son, Gordon, her grandson Taylor (Callie). She was preceded in death by her husband William Astel, and son Scott.
A celebration of Jean's life will be held on Friday, March 17, 2:00 PM at Edmonds Unitarian Church, 8109 234th St SW, Edmonds WA.
