Joan Frink Obituary

Joan Margaret Dixie Frink

Joan was born April 26, 1928 in New Westminster, British Columbia. She died in Bellevue on October 25, 2018. Joan was a loving, much loved, happy sweet soul. She was raised on Queen Anne Hill, attending Coe Elementary and Queen Anne High. She married Eddie Frink in 1947 and they raised their family in Bothell. She worked for Pacific Northwest Bell for 23 years. With new beginnings in 1972, Joan took up scuba diving and travel. She started diving on pirate ships in Cartagena and continued through the Pacific, surviving an airplane crash on Yap in 1980. She finished that dive trip in 1987.

She loved her whole family and all her pets. She is survived by her children Bob (Kathie) Frink, Colleen (Mike) Gaylord, and Jim (Debbie) Frink. She leaves 7 beloved grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren (one more coming) and one great-great granddaughter. Her life was one well-lived.

Joan's life will be celebrated on November 10 at 2 PM at Wooden Cross Lutheran in Woodinville.
