John Robinson Obituary
John F. "Jack" ROBINSON John F. Robinson, 83, died September 27, 2003 on Anderson Island. John married Nancy (Densmore) Paino in Seattle on August 11, 1990. They lived on Anderson Island for the last seven years. Nancy is CEO of Rainier Photographic Supply in Seattle. John was devoted to Nancy and she to him. Gathering with all their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren brought great joy to their hearts. John was a dedicated family man who raised 10 children while working as an attorney in Seattle. He was active in the Democratic Party as a young attorney and was Washington State campaign chairman for Adlai Stevenson. A dedicated Catholic, John was active for many years in St. Joseph's parish on Capitol Hill. He was in the Men's Holy Names Society and was very active in Scouting, being Scout Master for several years. Because of his love for camping, his term as Scout Master was marked by frequent overnight backpacking trips. He often said that some of the happiest days were in connection with Boy Scouts. His large Catholic family could often be seen leaving for a camping trip with a car full of kids, towing a rowboat loaded with gear and a full size teepee. In later life, John was active as a member and leader in the 12-step self-help movement. His last years were spent with his wife, Nancy, in the peace and relative quiet of their home on Anderson Island, looking north across Lake Josephine, "the quiet lake." John was preceded in death by his former wife, Verna Ellen Paton, Tacoma. They married in Seattle in March 1942 and raised 10 children. Verna died August 1982 in Seattle. He is survived by his 10 children, Sr. Mary Ellen Robinson, SNJN, James Robinson, M.D., John Robinson, Jr., Ph.D, Pastor Timothy Robinson, Patricia Nolan, Jeanne Cunningham, Virginia Robinson, J.D., Theresa Smith, David Robinson, M.D., Michael Robinson, three stepchildren, Christine Paino Stone, Michael Paino, William Sailors, sister, Dorothy Sexton, brother, Fr.
