Joseph Eisele Obituary

Joseph Nikilaus Eisele

Loving son, bother and friend Joseph Nikilaus Eisele passed unexpectedly on Friday, March 28, 2014. Born July 15, 1989 in Coeur d'Alene, he is best remembered for his infectious smile, free spirit, and loving manner. Known as Nik to his friends and family, he never met a stranger, only new friends to make and treasure. Nik sought out and saw the best in everyone, and never had a bad word about anyone. His heart was larger than his 6 foot frame, and he was unabashed in giving a hug, or "I love you" no matter who was watching or listening. An avid traveler and adventurer by his early twenties, Nik was comfortable in the Caribbean, Hong Kong, Spain, Hawaii or Costa Rica. Most importantly, everyone was comfortable around Nik. Nik's zest for life and diverse interests included flying, sailing, motorcycles, fast cars, and music. At the time of his death he was living in Seattle, Washington where he was focused on college and a promising future in business.

Nik is survived by his father Joseph Eisele of Seattle, Washington, his loving mother Jeanne Norton and step-father Gary Norton of Athol, Idaho; his brother Josh Rurey of Seattle, Washington; sister Aiyana Eisele Rutherford of Boulder Colorado; his grandfather Larry Darden of Priest River, Idaho; grandparents Jim and Anne Sawyer of Hayden Lake, Idaho; his step-sisters Callie Golden, Brianna Monoaghan and Michelle Sheets, his step-brothers David, Mike, Paul and Nick Norton, their loving spouses, and a host of precious nieces and nephews to whom each, Nik was an adoring uncle and pal. Nik's journey will be remembered in a Celebration of Life on Friday, April 4 at 6:00 p.m. at the Theater of Illusion at Silverwood Theme Park.

Mr Eisele, I am so sorry to hear of your son's death. There can't be anything as painful as losing a child. I am thinking of you, Anette, one of your Infusion nurses.

My sincere sympathy to the family for the loss of your dear loved one. May you find peace and comfort in Psalms 65:2. Again my deepest sympathy.

Once, in a little pond, in the muddy water under the lily pads, there lived a little water beetle in a community of water beetles. They lived a simple and comfortable life in the pond with few disturbances and interruptions. Once in a while, sadness would come to the community when one of their fellow beetles would climb the stem of a lily pad and would never be seen again. They knew when this happened; their friend was dead, gone forever.

Then, one day, one little water beetle felt an irresistible urge to climb up that stem. However, he was determined that he would not leave forever. He would come back and tell his friends what he had found at the top. When he reached the top and climbed out of the water onto the surface of the lily pad, he was so tired, and the sun felt so warm, that he decided he must take a nap. As he slept, his body changed and when he woke up, he had turned into a beautiful blue-tailed dragonfly with broad wings and a slender body designed for flying.

So, fly he did! And, as he soared he saw the beauty of a whole new world and a far superior way of life to what he had never known existed. Then he remembered his beetle friends and how they were thinking by now he was dead. He wanted to go back to tell them, and explain to them that he was now more alive than he had ever been before. His life had been fulfilled rather than ended. But, his new body would not go down into the water. He could not get back to tell his friends the good news. Then he understood that their time would come, when they, too, would know what he now knew. So, he raised his wings and flew off into his joyous new life!

With my deepest sympathy and condolences to all family, friends, and loves. I wish I could take away you pain
