Dr. Johnson was my grandmother´s doctor back in the 1970´s and would come to her home for appts. He also cared for my father and the rest of my family as well for many years. A lovely memory I have is when he and his lovely wife took my daughter to lunch one day when she was considering becoming an DO 11-12!years ago.

I continue to miss Dr. Johnson. Both as a doctor and a person. He was a wonderful man. Has a great family he was proud of. Think of him everytime I drive by his old office.

Dr Johnson was my Dr for over 25 years, I am so saddened to hear of his passing.
He was the most caring doctor I ever had. He is what I call an old fashioned Dr, who listened to his patients, took time with them, he was priceless! There will never be another Dr like him!
My condolences to his wife, whom he loved so much, and to his family and friends. ❤

My name is Erica Detro. I didn't know Karl but I know of him. I am the great-grand daughter of Oscar, his uncle from detroit! I have been desperately searching for any remaining family left! I came across this obituary and was compelled to reach out. I don't even know if his family will see this...however it was lovely reading all the wonderful stories and ways Karl has touched others throughout his life!

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of my best friend from Kalamazoo College. Karl did exactly what he said he would do in his life.
A wonderful man, I am sorry to find he is gone. I wanted to see him again here on this visit. My condolences to his wife Marion and daughter. We last visited when his daughter was so ill.

From Karl's best buddy at Kalamazoo College, David A. Carlson. We had a nice chat in person at his clinic a couple of years ago here in Seattle. I was so happy to connect with Karl again. This was the time that his daughter was so ill.
I just came to town this week to visit my daughter. I am so sorry to find that Karl is gone. I will remember him and his mission forever. His friend from college, Dave Carlson, Kalamazoo College 1962.

I was very saddened to see the passing of dr. Johnson. He was my oldest son's team doctor at Foster high school, my doctor and mainly ...my 91 year old dad's doctor. I called yesterday to arrange for records to be sent to us for my dad's folder and was given the sad news. My father often spoke of dr. And he was his favorite doctor! We will miss him!

I am so saddened by this news. As Dr. Johnson who welcomed me with open arms as a patient, and was instrumental in me getting a bike and out on the trails. He amazed me whenever I would see him and Marion on the trail and would call me by name. Condolences to the family and Happy Trails, Dr. Johnson!

I am so very saddened by the loss of this gentle man. He was as close to a "Doctor Welby" we had for having such a genuinely caring doctor. He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known him.

Dr Johnson was my doctor for 29 years. He was also physician for my parents and even my granddaughter. After moving away from Burien I still traveled from Ballard for 24 years because he was such an excellent doctor. I know he can never be replaced. He was the best doctor I ever knew. I always enjoyed going to his office. He knew who I was and what might need checking. We had many wonderful long talks. He was like the old fashioned doctors that cared about their patients. I will always miss him.

Dr. Johnson was our family doctor for several years. He was always caring and genuinely interested in each of us. I do not like any medical procedures. After voicing a health concern last Fall, he prodded me and strongly encouraged me to do follow up testing that he recommended. My symptoms had subsided and I reluctantly followed his orders. I had kidney cancer. He really wasn't obligated to but, Dr. Johnson helped facilitate my surgery and follow up care. Because he cared and was concerned, he basically saved my life. How can one ever thank someone for their life? I will forever be grateful that I was his patient.
He always spoke lovingly of his wife. It was obvious theirs was not just a marriage but, a life long love affair. As my children were growing up, he would share, with great pride and love, his own parenting stories of his daughter. So glad he got to see the Seahawks win the Super Bowl!
Rest in Peace Dr. Johnson. You gave so much of yourself. I am forever indebted. Condolences to your family.
