Oh how could anyone ever forget LW. He was so intelligent, and had so many interests and talent. And what a great sense of humor. His antics sure gave us a lot of laughs in the office of SS Disability. And he had a huge heart. I am certain that he will always be thought of with a big smile and never forgotten.

I just yesterday learned that L.W. had passed. I found this out through one of his secretaries who worked for him in Pa. For Social Security. I also worked there when L.W. was an adjudicator. He was such a smart man and sure did make us all laugh. He did the craziest things but he was so well liked by many. He had a huge heart and had great parties welcoming everyone into his home in Hershey. I was sorry to hear of his passing. My sympathies (all these years later) to his partner,
Shelley and sister, Beth. I know he is missed by many.

I worked with you for only a few years, but you became my dear friend, leaving lasting memories as a kind, gentle soul. Even though we lost touch, I have thought of you over the many years, hoping you found joy in your life. And you did. Gone too soon, but never forgotten.
My deepest sympathy to Shelley and Beth. May LW's spirit always be with you.

I've been looking for LW and Beth for over a decade. My dear friend, I wish I'd known you had passed. Forever in my heart and childhood memories. I will go to Ocean city this summer, sit on the beach at 34th and wait for you to come through the fog.
Bless all who knew and loved you. Shelley. You must be wonderful to be his partner and if Beth ever reads this tell her god bless

I grew up with LW in Hershey, we were neighbors. He and Beth were my friends and playmates. We have not had contact since high school when we went our separate ways forever. I moved to Chicago 2 yrs after high school and lived there 20 yrs and then in 1991, my then husband and I moved to Seattle. Semi-Retirement gives you more free time to ruminate and in the past year I've often wondered what happened to my old friends. I tried an online search last year but didn't come up with anything, We're more or less snowbound in Seatlle this month so I tried again today and this time to my sad surprise found this obit. Imagine my shock when I discovered he's been living here since 2001.
I've been a spiritual seeker almost my entire adult life and finding his obit and reading about his interests, the one thing that rings true now for me is the spiritual tenet that we're all connected, there is no .
I'm sorry my neighbor and former friend is gone now before we could meet again and wonder at how, unbeknownst to each other we ended up in the same city at the end of our lives. God bless him and his family. It sounds like he was the same gentle person I knew when we were children. God speed LW.

Although I never met LW in person, I enjoyed his on air persona immensely. His sense of humour was a constant delight. I will miss him greatly. I am so sorry for your loss Shelly. He lives on, but the loss of his personal presence is devastating.

I wish I had known him better.

Rest easy, LW... You'll be missed. You were my favorite net operator and I always enjoyed your kind and encouraging words and keen wit.

LW and I knew each other through our love of amateur radio . He conducted the Friday night Insomniac trivia Net which I joined in with regularly . I had an Aunt in Germany with the same last name as his so we started calling each other cousin when I'd check in with my trivia question answers . Our local radio equipment had been down for months . It is just now operating again. Tonight after the net one of the operators called me and conveyed his sympathy to me about Lw's passing . He thought we were real cousins and I didn't even know LW was gone. I was more than shocked . He was so much fun and such a nice person, very bright and intelligent about the things that he loved and were his passion . My sympathy to Shelly and his family and all who loved him and knew him . He will be greatly missed !!
