Lora Wilson Obituary
Lora Pishue Wilson lost her battle with cancer at her home in Shoreline on June 26, 2012.
Lora was born in Seattle on January 4, 1949, and was the daughter of Paul and Jean Pishue. She graduated from Queen Anne High School in Seattle in 1967 and the University of Washington in 1971.
While at Queen Anne, she met Bob Wilson, her high school sweetheart. The couple were married in 1971, and had daughter Sara (Haner) in 1985. The family have been Shoreline residents since 1986.
Lora had a 25 year career in the Mukilteo School District, and served as principal of Picnic Point Elementary until she retired in 2008. She was well known in the district for her humor, leadership, and dedication to education.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, Sept. 16 at 1:00 p.m. at the Nile Shrine Center in Mountlake Terrace.
Lora was passionate about the community, and was active with the Rainbow Girls (www.nwrainbowfoundation.org) and Daughters of the Nile (www.donfdn.org). Remembrances are being accepted in her memory to both organizations.

Miss my friend Lora who was to the point and often reminded me of my rather bad habits some of which I have corrected through the years. Sort of.
Lora was a fabulous woman I was able to know through my friendship with Bob Wilson. Bob and Lora since High School and me too!

I remember Lora fondly from our College days at the UW back in the late 60's. There was a group of us who used to spend long lunch hours in the Husky Den at the HUB on Campus. What I remember most about Lora, besides her beaming smile and infectious personality was the way she would take joy in her ability to peel and orange in one piece. She was my friend and a wonderful woman. The world became less good with her loss. RIP Lora.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to her family. We remember Lora as a beautiful, active teenager on Queen Anne HIll. She was energetic, passionate and showed compassion to all. We were saddened by the news of her passing, but reminded of only fond memories of a beautiful human being. She radiated joy and good will to all. She did make this earth a better place and for that we are grateful. Peace and love to those she has left behind.
