M. Bean Obituary

M. Lamont BEAN Passed away February 25, 2004, in Bellevue, WA, at the age of 79. A resident of Robinswood Pointe Senior Living for nearly two years, Monte's health had been in decline for some time. He was also President of the Rainier Club, the Washington Athletic Club, Sigma Chi-Seattle, the Frye Art Museum, and the 101 Club and the U of W Alumni. He enjoyed being part of the group which brought to Seattle the Sounders soccer club during the 1970's and was a founding owner of the Seahawks football team. He is survived by his wife Karin Ahlström Bean and their two children Jonas Bean (27) of Kirkland and Lisa Bean (24) of Bellevue, and also his four children which he had with LaRue White Bean, now of Las Vegas, NV; Marc Bean (54), of Palm Springs, CA, Steve Bean (53) of Redmond, Deborah Bean (51) of Arlington, VA, and Brad Bean (45) of Redmond. Mr. Bean will always be remembered by me as someone who loved life and inspired people. He (with his wife LaRue) made a profound impression on me as a child during a Christmas party for his employees. I had never met anyone who was so gracious and stylish. My family always held him in the highest regard. I am so sorry he is gone.
