Margaret Stuart Obituary

Margaret Jean STUART Margaret passed away on Jan. 7, 2011 just 4 months before her 99th birthday. She was born on April 30, 1912 in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan to Hugh and Jean Sutherland. Margaret lived in Canada until she moved to Seattle following her marriage to Harold C. Stuart. They later moved to Kirkland where they raised their sons Joel and Jim. Margaret had great fashion sense and worked for almost 30 years in Kirkland at Paul's Jewelers and Betty's Apparel. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, gardening, traveling, knitting and crocheting. She was a big fan of the Mariners and Seahawks and really missed the Sonics. Also she enjoyed time at the Senior Center making preemie blankets and hats for the homeless. Margaret is survived by sons Joel (Carol), Kirkland, Jim (Peggi), Chehalis, granddaughters Chris (Hugh), Renton, Melissa (Stefan), Bellevue, Melinda, Seattle and grandsons Jamie, Lacey, Jeff, Shelton. She also leaves three great grandsons and numerous nieces and nephews in Canada. She is preceded in death by husband Harold, brother Colin and sisters Bessie and Bernice. Memorial service is at Sunset Hills, Bellevue at 4:00 p.m. January 21, 2011. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to your favorite charity.

To Jim and Joel,

What great memories I have of you guys, your mom and, of course, dropping in to visit the house on the corner of 10th and 4th. Even though Marley Ann and I lost touch with Margaret after we moved north, she remains an important part of our lives.

Sorry we can't make it to the service at Sunset Hills tomorrow, but my thoughts are with all of you.

Thanks for the memories,

Bob Koll
