Mark was the funniest, and most entertaining person I ever met. Whether working at the Black Angus, playing poker, listening to the Who, or riding motorcycles, he made every event memorable. Our motorcycle trip, across the U.S., in 1975 was something I'll never forget.
Rest in peace, Mark.

I just heard about Mark's death. He hired me as a part time bookkeeper back in 1985 or 6. I knew nothing about bookkeeping or running a business but he patiently taught me and grew my confidence. He taught me about how to talk openly about money and finances, track the outstanding balances and address any problems with humanity and compassion as well as directness. Mark taught me what honesty and integrity look like in business and as a person. To this day, I sometimes ask myself - "what would Mark McGuire do?" I consider him a key mentor in my growth as a person and a professional. I am sad to hear of his passing but will continue to ask myself that question and hold his example of how to be a human in my heart. My deepest condolences to all of you who loved him. - Libby
