Mary D'Ambrosio Obituary

Mary Catherine (Hebert) D'Ambrosio

Dec 12, 1958 - October 7, 2016

In the early evening of Friday, October 7, 2016, the world lost one of those few people who was truly liked and loved by all who met her. Fighting the whole way, Mary succumbed to cancer at the age of 59. Born in Seattle, Mary grew up in Bellevue, Washington, the 5th child of Vic and Doreen Hebert. One of nine, and the oldest girl in the family, Mary started her life as a tomboy of sorts, holding her own with her brothers on Clyde Hill. She attended Sacred Heart Elementary, Chinook Junior High, and Bellevue High school. She married the love of her life, Anthony, and settled in Kirkland. Mary was a stalwart waitress at Hectors Restaurant and Lounge in Kirkland for over 30 years, cultivating many lasting friendships. Mary had an unmistakable glow about her that drew you in. She loved animals, showing and jumping horses in her youth. Her love of cats was renown. She loved to travel, taking yearly trips to Arizona and spending time with her mother-in-law Maria, whom she cherished, and to Maui to bask in the sun with Tony and friends. Her love, kindness, and adoration for her nieces and nephews was second to none. This wife, sister, daughter, aunt, co-worker and friend will truly be missed.

She is preceded in death by her father Vic; Mother Doreen; Brothers Paul and Dave. She is survived by her husband Anthony and the D'Ambrosios: Maria, Florence, Jerry, Joe, John, LuAnn, Carol and their families; brothers Barney, Ken, John, Joe; sisters Julie, Kris and their families. A celebration of her life will be held after the new year.
