MARY SCHATZER Obituary

Mary (Veihmeyer) SCHATZER Passed away Feb 9, 2011 after a full life; now with her Savior in heaven. Born May 24, 1922, in Wash. D.C. Her brother Fred & sister Jean live in Maryland. Married to Dave Schatzer for 45 years. Three children, David Jr. (Morlene), Ellen (Rich), and Jim (Sherry). Predeceased by Dave Sr. and daughter Ellen; survived by 12 grandchildren & 12 great-grands. Mary was a wonderful woman of many talents & interests. Music, books, needlework & people filled her life. Sang in church choirs for more than 65 years & at the White House, Constitution Hall & Carnegie Hall. Taught countless children to knit. Loved baseball. Read voraciously. Loved to travel and see new places. Dear friend, gramma or second mom to many people. Memorial service at First Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 19800 108th Ave SE, Kent on Monday, Feb 21, 6:30 pm. Dearest friend Mary, I miss you,I know you are enjoying the reunion with Dave and dear, dear Ellen. Remember the sampler you made for me,"IN MY FATHER'S HOUSE there are many rooms"? PLease reserve one for me beside you and we can laugh again at all the good times and travel we had here for so many years. I love you, Mary! Jo
