Nancy Duggan has a long history with the Tacoma Dominican Community. She is the beloved companion of Camilla Barrett, Marie Celine Bradshaw, Sisters Catherine Prendergast, Nora Murphy and Mary Pat Murphy who traveled together from Ireland in March 1952 to join the Tacoma Dominicans. This group was known as the "big six companions" who remained close friend over these many years. Nancy was known as a dedicated educator and taught at St. Edward's School, Holy Rosary School in Seattle,. taught in Bakersfield, Ca. and her closing years of teaching was at Our Lady of the Lake, Seattle. She will be truly missed by her family in Ireland, the Tacoma Dominican Community, as well as the many co-workers, students and families who were the recipients of her commitment to Catholic Education. May she now rest in the loving arms of her parents , siblings and friends in her Heavenly Home. Sister Mary Pat Murphy, OP
