Olav Olsoy Obituary

Olav OLSOY Age 89, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, Olav passed into the presence of our Lord Jesus on April 3, 2008. Olav was born May 3, 1918 in Rissa, Norway to Ole and Anna Olsoy. He was the 4th of 13 children. Olav met the love of his life in Seattle, Washington, Anna Hjalseth. They were married for 46 years and had three children. He was a carpenter by trade and built their family home. He was a gentle loving man, devoted to his faith in Christ. We are grateful for the years we had with him. Olav is survived by his wife, Anna; children, John (Andrea) Olsoy, Harold (Ginger) Olsoy, and Anne Marie (Dale) Thomas; his eight grandchildren, Jeff, Peter, Emily, Taylor, Kristoffer, Samuel, Colby, and Amanda; his siblings, Karl (Magnhild) Olsoy of Seattle, Astrid Olsoy Hansen, Marie Haugen, Borghild (Oddmar) Raknes, Ivar (Helene) Olsoy, Trygve (Anna Kristen) Olsoy, Agnes (Reidar) Johansen; his sister-in-law, Esther Olsoy of Norway, and many more family and friends in Norway and USA. Memorial Service to be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 12th at Rock of Ages Lutheran Brethren Church. 316 N 70th St., Seattle. Arrangements entrusted to Wiggen & Sons Funeral Home.

Olav we miss you! You were a wonderful part of our lives for many years. Your memorial service was inspiring-I especially enjoyed the pictures from your youth. There was a lot of visiting, a time you would have enjoyed. Love you.....
