Orville Lindebak Obituary

Orville K. LINDEBAK "Lindy" age 87, died of a severe lung infection at Auburn Hospital on February 13. He was born December 24, 1916 in Napoleon, North Dakota and came to Seattle with his family when he was a teenager. He became a brakeman on the railroad in the days of the steam engine and retired from the Union Pacific in 1975. For many years he and his wife, Frances, were snowbirds spending winters in Arizona. Lindy was also known for giving a helping hand to people around him and for giving financial support to many charities and Christian ministries. He was also known for brightening a person's day with a funny story or a joke. Lindy is survived by his dear wife, Frances, his son, Kenneth and daughter-in-law Carreen, five grandchildren, Michelle Peck, Erik Lindebak, Owen Lindebak, Teresa Clark, Christine Lindebak, and eight great-grandchildren, Mike, Stephanie, Angel, Kyle, Shanea, Hailey, Jocelyn and Nolan. Lindy was a good Christian man who is with the Lord. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, February 18, 2004, 12:30 p.m., at Bonney-Watson Washington Memorial, 16445 International Blvd., SeaTac, WA, 206-242-1787.
