It was my priviledge to interact with Mr. Kurose as a student 32 years ago at West Seattle Highscool. He really aided me to have a place to develop in the martial arts for 2 very special years. His guidance to me was straight and sincere and personal in important ways. My condolences to his extended family for his passing. I hope his progeny will see this message some day.

Sincerely,

Eric Cough, D.C. Spokane, WA

Mr. Kurose, was my Home Room teacher for three years at West Seattle High School. I had such great respect for him as a teacher and as a man. We were tied in a different way Mr. Kurose's father was the gardener of the rental house my oldest sister and her newlywed husband shared on Mecer Island. I think because of Mr. Kurose's influence I became interested in the plight of Japanese-Americans during WWll, although he rarely spoke of it, but he was a big enough influence on me that I immigrated to the land of his ancestors and have lived in Japan for the past forty years. Thank you Mr. Kurose's you were a dear man and a guiding light. Sincerely, Linda-Day-Sakamoto

My condolences to Mr. Kuroses family. Although I graduated nearly 50 years ago from West Seattle High, I still at times share my memories of his biology class and Study Hall with old friends. His sly grin and his daily wearing of a lab coat are etched into my happy memory. Thank you Mr. Kurose!
