Philip Niemeyer Obituary

Philip E. Niemeyer

I had the good fortune to be born in the beautiful city of Seattle, in 1935.

Except for a number of years in Port Angeles, WA, I have lived here all my life.

In 1959, while living in Port Angeles, I had the further good fortune to meet and marry Zita, my wife of 59 years.

Words seem inadequate to describe her virtues, but I will give it a try:

Loving, Intelligent, Imaginative,

Hard Working, Supportive,

Forgiving....and let's not forget:

a wonderful cook!

We have two sons.

Joel, with his wife Filina and their daughters, Hannah and Olivia live in Seattle and Clark, our younger son, also lives in Seattle.

Over the years I enjoyed working, reading, entertaining and pursuing a variety of artistic interests

As I look back over my life, I see so much that I could have done differently.

But, I have no regrets.

Enjoyed so much meeting Phil and having a few dinners together; what a character. My husband Pat really enjoyed his company and will miss him. He was happy to see him a few days before he died. Thinking of Zita and family, Nancy and Pat Christensen

I'll miss you, Dad

Phil was very instrumental in helping grow our family house painting business. I remember seeing him on many jobs all those years ago when he worked at Hubbard's, in Bellevue. He was a good man.
