Richard (Dick) H. Sabo

June 24, 1935 ~ June 9, 2017

After a 10 year battle with Parkinson's, Dick passed away in his sleep June 9, 2017. Dick and his family moved to the Seattle area in 1975. He leaves behind his wife of 58 years, Carol J Sabo; a son Douglas L Sabo and spouse Kathy; daughter Beth A Richards and spouse Dave; five grandchildren, Heather Richards, Morgan Richards, Spencer Sabo, Rachel Wallace, Nicole Konen; and one great granddaughter, Piper Warren.

Dick was born in Portland, Oregon. He served in the Navy four years as a radar man. After leaving the Navy, Dick had a long career as a Claims Analyst in the area of Disability and Life Insurance. Going into semi-retirement, Dick started a sharpening business, Sabo's Sharpening Service, servicing restaurants and alteration shops while working part-time as a courier for Evergreen Hospital Medical Center.

A private family Celebration of Dick's Life will be held at Hawthorne Funeral Home. Please consider making a donation to the Parkinson's Foundation.

Arrangements are under the care of Hawthorne Funeral Home, Mount Vernon, WA.
