Robert (Bob) Francis Logan

Passed away peacefully with his family present on Sunday, May 28th, 2017 at the age of 101. Born in Seattle on October 22, 1915 to Mae (Cannon) and Albert Logan, he attended Brighton Elementary School in Rainier Valley and graduated from Franklin High School in 1934. Bob continued his education in banking and economics at Seattle University and the University of Washington.

In 1939 Bob met his future wife Sybil Fogerty. They married and settled in the Wedgwood neighborhood raising three children. Bob began his banking career with Seattle First National Bank in 1941, which was interrupted for 3 years to serve overseas during WWII. He returned to Seattle First and would spend the next 32 years as manager of Capital Hill's Broadway and downtown's Plaza 500 branches; then accepted a job as President of Teachers State Bank (Evergreen Bank) for two years until retiring in 1980.

In retirement, he and Sybil traveled extensively. He loved socializing, had a great personality, was honest, intelligent and, above all, what mattered the most to him was his family. Bob is survived by his daughter Maureen Holstad (Andy), grandsons Alex Levell (Rachel) and Brent Levell (Michell), 5 great-grandchildren Logan, Bryce, Tessa, Ryder and Beckett, and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Bob was predeceased by Sybil Fogarty Logan, his wife of 65 years, and sons Robert Michael and James Vincent. The family sincerely thanks Jesse and Lita, Tina and Maya, Bob's loving caregivers at the Sacred Heart Adult Family Home; and Dr. Sarah Roskam.

A graveside memorial service will be held at 11AM on Monday, June 12th at Holyrood Catholic Cemetery, 205 NE 205th St., Shoreline.

A reception to celebrate Bob's life will follow.
