Miss you brother! Miss having coffee with you, Dale and Rich. I recall when we first met. It was 8th Grade in a CYO basketball game. You played guard for St. Teresa along with Rudy Frank. I played for Immaculate coached by Fred Cordova. You guys beat us pretty badly. Though high school at O'Dea and college at Seattle U, we bonded as best friends. We ran the CD and FYA together. You married the best lady in Angie and together raise three lovely and talented daughters. (Shawna being my god-daughter. Thank you for the honor!). You led a wonderful life and set a great example for young Pinoys and Pinays to pursue an education. It's what you valued so highly. You organized PINOY our championship and best dressed softball team. You made everyone proud to be Filipino. I know you're with Dale, Bob, Fred, Pete and Terry....the FAYTS. Together you can organize, organize and organize the heavens. Love you, brother!

Dear Angie and Family:
I just heard about Roy and wanted to send a very belated condolence. You probably don't remember me. To jog your memory a little, Roy and yourself invited Gretchen and I to your wedding and reception at the Filipino Community Center. I was working at Boeing and attending Seattle U when Roy did his short stint at Boeing. He talked the group into buying me a Briefcase for my graduation. Roy and I bonded immediately when I met him at Boeing and for sure when he found I was working through SU. I eventually graduated with a Marketing Degree (Roy suggested the Major). We were a generation that loved music, good clothes and close friendships. Even though we did not keep in touch, I considered Roy a Mentor (even though we are the same age), Friend and Colleague - we all lost a very fine person. The one fashion tip Roy gave me, as a broke college kid, always wear Black Socks and I have for most of my life. Please accept my belated condolences and prayers for you and your family. Gale "Hutch" Hutchinson Class of 69 (graduated at the ripe old age of 26).

I am at a loss for words to say what an inspiration and support Roy was to me over the years. Whenever he passed on the City plaza he would ask what he could do to help. He loved politics and was always ready to campaign. My prayers to the family in your grief. Know that he is blessed. My husband, Lamar Mills, Jr. sends his condolences with me.

My brother Rudy and I grew up with Roy at St. Teresa and O'Dea. Although the years have caused us to drift in our various directions, Roy has been in our minds as a good friend. Occasional get togethers were looked forward to and appreciated. Our family wants to express our condolances to the Flores family. Roy was an exceptional person.

Roy is one of the truly great guys from O'Dea's class of '61. Always fun to talk to and be around. I will miss him, especially at all the basketball tournament games. Bill Russell

One of my fondest memories of Roy is when Mom "volunteered" him to pick us up quite early one morning to take us strawberry picking. Bob happened to be away in Alaska working, so Mom called upon Roy and he showed up "on time"! Mom was happy and always said Roy was such a good boy.

Angie, I am so sorry about your lose and pray you and the girls find comfort in knowing what a great man your husband and father was. He always had a smile on his face and love in his heart. He will be truly missed by all his family and dear friends.

My prayers are with you during this very difficult time.

Love always!

I first met Roy back in the summer of 1971 at the Young Pilipino People's Far West Convention held at Seattle U sponsored by the FYA. Later when I was invited to speak in Seattle, I stayed with Roy and Angie at their home and met their beautiful kids. It was the start of a life-long friendship. Over the last few years, Roy would pose comments on FB and we would talk about seeing other again with Tony O and Larry and the rest of the gang. We are so sad to learn of Roy's passing. So soon. Our prayers go to his family and friends, to all his loved ones. Makibaka, Roy.

We are deeply saddened by his passing. You will be missed. My family will remember Roy as the coolest brother of Larry/Uncle Larry to my kids with an earrings. Roy always asked about my son who was a football player at Prep and always asking how they are doing at Prep and all. He is a guy who always remember our names even though we don't see each other very often. RIP and our condolences to the Flores Family.
