Russell Allen CAMPBELL Born March 16th, 1965 in Burien, WA and passed away March 13th, 2005 in Seattle, WA. Russ is survived by his parents Harold and Carrol Campbell, his sister, Sandy Beretta, her husband Paul, and their children Megan, Maria, and Marcus, as well as many, many friends and extended family from Washington State to Sweden. A love for the outdoors, micro-brews, interesting foods, and brass antique lanterns and stoves, took Russ to many obscure corners of the northwest and Europe. Food and beer were often topics of passionate conversation. He was well known for his and contributions to social gatherings. Russ' love for the outdoors was reflected in his participation in the Mountaineers and in the restoration of local Forest Service look-out towers. How Russ approached physical challenges, which were a result of his battles with leukemia, injuries, and finally cancer, were inspiring to all who had the privilege to know him. Russ' life will be Celebrated by Family and Friends Saturday, July 16th, 2005, at Heybrook Look-out near Mt. Index. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance in Russ' name.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.

Russ was a wonderful outgoing man. He made the best B52 cheese cake!! He even made me a very special 30th birthday cake. I will miss his zest for life and his friendly smile.
