Ted S.Y. PANG Family, Community & Country Ted Pang dies at age 80 Loving husband, father, grandfather, community leader and volunteer, Ted passed away suddenly of a heart attack on Sunday, May 3, a day after his 80th B-day. Born in 1929 in Dublin, MS, he moved with his family to Seattle in 1938 after 7 years in China. A decorated Korean War vet, he retired as a full Colonel giving more than 38 years of distinguished service. He was also very involved in the Seattle Chinese Cmty where he served faithfully alongside his wife Shirley. He also loved exercising, acting and the Mariners! With all his military and civic involvement, his family gave him greatest joy - His dear wife & life companion Shirley (55 years this June); children Greg Pang, Melanie Pang (Tim Stapelman), Melissa (Joe) Stenoien, Garrick (Anna) Pang and Millicent (James) Snook, eleven grandsons: Jason & Jusdan (Morgan, dad Greg); Barrett & Mitchell (Melanie); Caleb, Jacob & Samuel (Garrick); Jonathan, Daniel, Michael & Jordan (Millie). Yes, they are all boys. Also survived by sister Nellie (Lewis) Wong, sister-in-law Teresa Pang, brother Woody (Carol) Pang, and many loving nieces, nephews & cousins.
