Vahe Hovsepian Obituary

Vahe Haig HOVSEPIAN Age 74, born September 1, 1933, Cairo, Egypt, son of Armenian immigrants Haig and Marie Hovsepian, died March 16, 2008, Seattle. Principled in his faith and family, yet free spirited in life; with a twinkle in his eye he put anyone that met him at ease. Vahe, dedicated husband, loving father and delightful grandfather, is survived by wife Sonia of 48 years, son Allen and wife Barbara, son Berge and grandsons Connor and Nathan. His family was his life and in that life he excelled with great purpose and joy. Graduate of Business and Accounting, Cairo, Egypt, in 1969 he brought his family to Seattle to establish a better life. Settled on Mercer Island in 1974. During his accounting career of nearly 50 years, he worked in-house with local companies before establishing his own firm in 1983. Throughout his career he established lifelong friendships with his clients and associates. He served as President of the Armenian Orthodox Church in Seattle. He enjoyed making people laugh and was known for his hilarious jokes. He did not like to complain or burden others. He was a selfless father and husband who loved being with his family and playing with his grandchildren and their dog. He was a peaceful soul and was able to exhibit his love without speaking a single word. A content companion, friend, coach, nurturer, teacher, protector and teammate, as well as an avid soccer and basketball fan. He was truly loved by everyone who met him.
