Walter Lind Obituary

Walter Otis LIND Walter Otis Lind of Tucson, Arizona passed away on Dec. 6, 2002 after a long battle with cancer. He was born January 17, 1927 in Seattle, Washington. He was the only son of Walter James and Edna Lind. He served in the U.S. Navy in W.W. II on the U.S.S. Missoula APA 211 in the Pacific. He attended the University of Washington studying Engineering. He was married to Norma Rooney in 1948. Walt went to work for Ray's Thriftway which later became Q.F.C. He worked for Q.F.C. for over 35 years as a grocery store manager throughout the Seattle and Bellevue area and later as Vice President. After retirement he and his wife Norma moved to Tucson where they could enjoy golfing year-round. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Norma Lind, his daughter Catherine Bradford, her husband Wayne of Renton, Wa. and her sons Denny and Sean of Seattle, Wa., his daughter Connie Budahl, her husband Alan and their daughters Kaitlin and Alicia of Anchorage, Ak., his son Jay R. Lind, wife Bernadette and their daughters Samantha and Rebecca of Snohomish, Wa., his son Jeffrey Lind of Marysville, Wa., and his sister Karen Lind of Oakland, CA. A Memorial Service was held Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2002 in Sun City, Arizona. Memorial donations can be made to Sun City Vistoso Community Foundation, 1495 - E. Rancho Vistoso Blvd., Oro Valley, AZ. 85737. This foundation reaches out to several charities in Sun City and Southern Arizona.
